This elegant late Victorian gown is worn by Amy she is dressed for the afternoon’s entertainment. The sumptuous fabrics used ie silk lace and a pretty cotton were typical of this period. The sharp tailored jacket and several layers used to create the bussel together with the draping of the skirts to the sides, exaggerates the slim waist. The hair is made from viscose which is dressed into soft dignified coils, pretty silk flowers and ribbons were added for additional colour which had become popular at this time. The doll is made from porcelain with a soft body, 1/12th scale (5½" approx.) i.e. Dolls house size. Adult collectors only, NOT suitable for children under 14 years.
